Brighton Beach

Last [early] Spring, I made it out to Brighton Beach with a few Russian friends.  Let's just say that, yet again, I was the only one who didn't speak the language (our meal at  Nargis Cafe was incredible nonetheless).  This place seemed familiar - but quite different - simultaneously.  The American Dream seems to be much more pervasive in NYC than anything I've experienced.

I'd highly suggest hiking the Inca Trail before it becomes even more of a scarce/depleted resource.  We had a great group, guide and overall experience.  If you ever go I'd highly suggest Llama Path.
