Hurricane Sandy

I was certainly impressed at how well my neighborhood came together despite the catastrophic destruction of Hurricane Sandy (I heard she insisted on being called "Saundra" upon arriving in NYC). Nonetheless, watching the event unfold will be in my memory for quite some time.

L Train

If you read Gothamist (or any NYC blog for that matter), you're certainly going to pick up on L Train shenanigans and the fact that it's a decrepit, absolute pain.   Here are some interesting experiences from throughout 2012.
